Three Baltimore men who were wrongly imprisoned for 36 years in Maryland, United States have been set free after a review of the murder case they were prosecuted for.  The three men identified as Alfred Chestnut, Ransom Watkins and Andrew Stewart, were reportedly teenagers when they were sentenced to life in prison in 1984. They were accused of being responsible for the murder of 14-year-old DeWitt Duckett who was shot in the neck on his way to class at a Baltimore junior high school and also stealing his Georgetown University jacket.        They were released from custody on Monday November 25, hours after a judge cleared their convictions and prosecutors dropped the charges. “These three men were convicted, as children, because of police and prosecutorial misconduct,” Baltimore state attorney Marilyn Mosby said after the men were released. Andy Ruiz Jr has sent a strong warning to Anthony Joshua ahead of their highly-anticipated heavyweight rematch next week. The Mexican boxer who first defeated the British-Nigerian boxer in June, arrived at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Tuesday, November 26, for their rematch on December 7.      When asked how he felt about the fight, Ruiz said: ‘It feels good. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested  Emmanuel Oluwaniyi , controller of Kirikiri Maximum Prison for his role in allowing  Hope Aroke , a convicted internet fraudster, to receive treatment outside the prison, where he is serving a 24-year jail term.  According to the commission, Aroke, also known as “H.Money”, had masterminded a mega scam to the tune of over $1 million from prison, using a network of accomplices.  He said preliminary investigation revealed that the convict had access to the internet and mobile phone in detention.   Also arrested was Hemeson Edwin, head of the medical center at Kirikiri Prison, who allegedly gave exaggerated medical report that warranted the referral for Aroke to be treated outside the facility. Reggae and Dance Hall artiste, Buju Banton has been signed by Jay-Z’s record label, Roc Nation, almost a year after being released from prison. The dance hall artiste, who served a 7 years jail sentence for intent to distribute cocaine was released in December 2018, has been signed to Jay-Z’s roster, making him the second reggae artiste signed to Roc Nation after Damian Marley.                 “The connection was born from my association with the great queen, Miss Rihanna herself,” Banton told Rolling Stone about how he signed his Roc Nation deal.  “A good guy who works with him, Omar Grant,” who is co-chair of Roc Nation, “we started working together on small things and the idea [to collaborate] was born”. A University of Calabar lecturer has shared photos of him babysitting a student’s set of twins during a recent exam at the institution.        The lecturer noted that it is quite stressful for one to be taking care of kids and also writing an exam. A Taxify driver simply identified as Gabriel Wisdom, was reportedly killed by yet to be identified persons who ordered for his service on the hailing app.       The suspects shot Wisdom and went away with his white Toyota Corolla on Friday November 22nd. Nigerian comedian Stanley Chibuna aka Funnybone has revealed that comparing his mom to ladies of nowadays may render him single for life. Funnybone made the revelation in a recent interview with Sunnews. US Vice President Mike Pence made an unannounced trip to Iraq to visit US troops ahead of Thanksgiving, landing in the country Saturday, November 23rd amid violent anti-government protests. Pence visited the Al Asad Air Force Base in western Iraq, where he was greeted by the US Ambassador to Iraq and several military officers. He received a classified briefing from the commanding officer on the base and spoke by phone with Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul Mahdi. Two students who high-fived and hug each other after raping a woman in a London nightclub have been jailed for more than seven years each.  The Italian nationals identified as 25-year-old Ferdinando Orlando and 26-year-old Lorenzo Costanzo reportedly carried out the attack in the maintenance room of the Toy Room club on Argyll Street in London on February 26, 2017.       Police said nightclub CCTV footage from the night of the attack showed the convicts each kissing and dancing with the victim who was visibly drunk and unsteady on her feet. Propping her up in just eight minutes after their first interaction, they led her into the maintenance room where there were no cameras and raped her. Allen Ifechukwu Athan Onyema, the Chairman and CEO of Air Peace has been indicted over an alleged bank fraud and money laundering scheme.  The Airline owner was accused of moving more than $20 million from Nigeria through United States bank accounts in a scheme involving false documents based on the purchase of airplanes.       “Onyema allegedly leveraged his status as a prominent business leader and airline executive while using falsified documents to commit fraud,” said U.S. Attorney Byung J. “BJay” Pak.  “We will diligently protect the integrity our banking system from being corrupted by criminals, even when they disguise themselves in a cloak of international business.” Air Peace’s Chief of Administration and Finance, Ejiroghene Eghagha was also linked to the alleged fraudulent scheme and was charged with bank fraud and committing aggravated identity theft.  Robert J.
