It sounds strange  but turned out to be true  that a graduate of a university who is a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving in Calabar, Cross River State, was said to  have been impregnated by a teenager, a junior Secondary School Student Class 2 (JSS2)  in a school where she was posted for service. Ironically, while some concerned persons were said to have attempted disputing the incident, the Corp member was said to have confirmed her regular sex ordeal with the teenager, a JSS 2 student, which led to her becoming pregnant for the boy. A coronavirus rescue flight left China early this morning with 83 Britons and 27 other foreigners onboard.  Photos shared on social media revealed that the evacuated Britons and foreigners wore face masks to stop the deadly droplets of the virus.  The chartered flight which left Wuhan at 9:45am local time on Friday January 31, is scheduled to land at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire at 1pm UK time. The flight will continue on to Spain following the stopover in the UK, at which point EU nationals’ home countries will take responsibility for them.  In UK, the flight's passengers who are Britons will be taken to Park hospital in Wirral where they will spend 14 days in quarantine. Basketball star Lebron James has paid tribute to Kobe Bryant with a new tattoo, days after the LA Lakers legend died in a helicopter crash alongside his daughter Gianna and 9 others in Calabasas, California. Lebron who was pictured crying at the Los Angeles airport the morning after hearing of Kobe's untimely death, visited celebrity tattoo artist Vanessa Aurelia on Wednesday to get the new ink, then on Thursday during his work out in Lakers training facility in El Segundo, let photographers capture the new tattoo.                                      The tattoo is still fresh, but has the shape of a black mamba, the nickname Kobe was known for, then an inscription 'Kobe for life' can be seen written. A drug-smuggling tunnel equipped with its own railway and lift has been discovered at the US border with Mexico. The 4,300ft passage which is believed to have been built by El Chapo’s Sinaloa cartel is said to be the longest known illicit underground route into the United States. The drug-smuggling tunnel which is on average 70ft below ground and almost 6ft high and 2ft wide was reportedly built with a ventilation system, high-voltage power cables, and drainage. According to the Mirror, the tunnel starts in an industrial area of the border city of Tijuana in Mexico, ending in a neighbourhood of San Diego, California. where its entrance was found covered by several sandbags. It was discovered by authorities in August but has only now been revealed. A 31-year-old man paraded by the Taraba State Police Command has confessed to killing his girlfriend, Imbajuri Ambisi.  The suspect identified as Munda Bala reportedly conspired with his two friends to kill his girlfriend who they burnt to ashes before burying her in a bush.  The native of Donga Local Government Area who was paraded alongside some ashes and bones of the deceased, blamed the sad act on jealousy and hardship.  He told newsmen;  “I fell in love with Imbajuri Ambisi. Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has been released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission after perfecting his bail conditions.  Recall LIB reported that the former lawmaker who was arrested on December 31, 2019, was granted a N10m bail after being arraigned before Justice Inyang Ekwo on two counts of fraud involving alleged extortion of $25,000 from a businessman in November 2019. He was accused of extorting the businessman on grounds of passing the money to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad and the acting Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu. Sani whose bail conditions include submitting his international passport to the court and producing a surety with a landed property that is worth the bail sum, was released around 6pm on Thursday January 30 as confirmed by his media aide, Suleiman Ahmed. 

Eeleven suspected fraudsters have been arrested by operatives of the Enugu Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, January 30th 2020. One of the fraudster, a female, was arrested at Airport View Estate, Thinkers Corner, Enugu. The arrest, which was the first by the zone in the new year, followed several intelligence report on the ostentatious lifestyles of the suspects. On the strength of the intelligence, operatives of the Commission, with duly signed search warrant, raided about four building within the same vicinity where they recovered several mobile phones, lap tops, computers, several MTN Sim packs, a Toyota Venza, Mercedes C350, two Lexus Jeeps, one GLK 350 Benz, two ES350 Lexus, a Mustang 455FA car and other incriminating items. Interim investigation revealed that the suspected female fraudster was discovered to have a software in her phone with an instruction and format used in duping gullible individuals....

Four years ago, January 30, 2016, Danish aid worker Anja Ringgren Lovén was photographed giving water to a severely emaciated 2-year-old boy, who she rescued after he was branded a witch by his family and left to starve to death in Akwa Ibom.  The child wandered the streets for months when Anja got a phone call and immediately led a rescue team including her husband David Emmanuel Umem, to bring the child to the Children's Education and Development Foundation (ACAEDF) aka "Land of Hope" named after the boy.  On Thursday, January 30, 2020, Anja posted new photos of Hope to mark the anniversary.
