The decomposing body of a  woman was found at a refuse site along Aggrey road, Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital.

According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the woman went missing last Sunday.

NEWS: Nigerian man Victor Alonge sentenced to 10 years in jail for romance scam by US court

Olu Victor Alonge , charged along with six other Nigerians in a multi-year wire fraud scheme, has been sentenced to a 10-year imprisonment by a court in Georgia, United States. He was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Timothy C. Batten, Sr., on October 30, 2019 and ordered to pay $1,835,279.00 in victim restitution, according to a statement by the Department of Justice U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Georgia. Alonge, 35, known also as Serge Damessi, Didier Baraze, Mobo Marcus Adeh, Ayo Baraze and Nicolas Soglo had pleaded guilty to an online dating website scheme. Three other Nigerians have also pleaded guilty to the 60 counts of wire fraud, money laundering, identify theft and the use of false passports. “The conspirators in these cases, including some who were overseas, used fake personas on online dating websites to trick individuals, including elderly retirees, into giving them large amounts of money,” the statement said. 41- year- old Mrs Nyarum Luka Bot Balewa who recently was delivered of quadruplets after waiting for 15 years without a child, has cried out to Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed to come to the aid of her family by offering her employment to enable her to cater for the babies. Mrs Balewa, who is a graduate of College of Health Technology, Ningi, Bauchi State, was delivered of three girls and a boy on July 3, 2019, at Bingham University Teaching Hospital, Jos, Plateau State.
